We are searching for an energetic candidate to join the Information Management and Technology team and lead CNL employees through our transition to Microsoft 365. While the technical stream moves the infrastructure and implement tools, you will engage all parts of the business to understand their requirements and desires. You will have influence the deployment schedule so that it maximizes the quick delivery of benefits to our employees, develop and implement onboarding plans. You will identify knowledge gaps and develop strategies to close them, preparing entire business units to improve the way they presently work through the adoption of M365 tools. You will also ensure that governance and security controls are strengthened through this transition, all the while improving the satisfaction of our employees.

DUTIES

  • Provides objective impact assessments for projects and change requests on behalf of all organization business lines.
  • Consolidates requirements for all impacted business areas.
  • Creates Test Strategies for all changes, and coordinates Quality Assurance tasks and UAT, and assists in coordinated Change Management Tasks.
  • Standardizes Infrastructure requirements.
  • Assists in assessing BA resource capacity, prioritize requests, and manage workload, and set expectations with Clients with respect to priorities and timelines.
  • Leadership role to junior Business Analysts, approve time (if applicable).

Application Support

  • Leads functional support across existing application portfolio by understanding how the business works, to identify areas of improvement (problem areas), and to work with the business stakeholders to identify suitable solutions
  • Reviews required system documentation (requirements, user guide, process manual, use cases, presentations, etc.)
  • Reviews technical documentation to ensure business requirements are being met by the proposed solution
  • Leads configuration of commercial software to meet business needs as identified in business requirements on large projects
  • Leads vendor discovery engagements on new and existing products, evaluates usefulness, and makes recommendations with regard to their "fit" within the existing architecture
  • Create and obtain a generic agreement for services by Business Analyst to client, to set client expectations, and one day measure and report on service levels.

Requirements Management

  • Leads discovery sessions to document business objectives to understand business drivers behind information system requests on large projects
  • Leads workshops to gather functional requirements, user requirements and non-functional requirements to clarify business needs on large projects
  • Determines system alternatives and/or manual work-arounds for unmet business requirements
  • Reports on requirements status as input to project status report
  • Retain and reuse requirements, test cases and plans, and create the basis for an end to end, standardized Business Requirement and Quality Assurance platform to be utilized on a project by project basis.
  • Acts as a functional lead on large projects, creating functional plans to feed into project plan, identifying and documenting requirements risks

Project Delivery

  • As a member of an IT project team, participates in the selection and implementation of new and existing applications.
  • Prepares training strategy, organizes training materials plans end-user training on large projects
  • Create, refine, and maintain a Business Analyst methodology with standardized deliverables required by the SDLC and / or Project Life Cycle.

Change Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with other Business Analysts – setting a learning, evolutionary, and open environment.
  • Possesses knowledge/skill in cross functional areas to provide end to end Impact Analysis and Assessments on behalf of for all small and large project or programs for any business unit within CNL.
  • Keep current on ITIL and CNL business best practice processes and offer opportunities for process change to other business units to maximize efficiencies.
  • Introduce change or options for change through enhanced processes or systems to meet business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.A from a recognized educational institution in computer science or business administration; OR graduation from an equivalent formal educational program and relevant IT or business experience.
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional, Change Management designations are an asset.
  • A minimum of years of practical experience in and implementing information systems as a business analyst.
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of and expertise in various subject and business areas.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management principles.
  • Conducted and lead project reviews, project statuses, and assist in assessing risk areas for processes and projects.
  • Consistently demonstrated expertise in business systems analysis and requirements gathering techniques and tools.
  • Consistently demonstrated ability to define business rules, and lead business process re-engineering across multiple functions and business processes.
  • Consistently demonstrated business writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal staff and external suppliers.
  • Consistently and independently identifies and quantifies process improvement opportunities.
  • Creativity and innovation is a consistent requirement in overall business process design and integration.
  • Provides objective consultation while evaluating, analysing, using judgement, forming hypotheses, to arrive to conclusions.
  • Consistently demonstrated expertise in applying the software development lifecycle, development methodologies, and analysis and design techniques as applied over the entire lifecycle of an information system.
  • Consistently demonstrated understanding of application integration and workflow techniques.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more SDLC methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, RAD, JAD, iterative) and able to provide input to recommendations for application of methodology to optimize development.
  • Formulate Project Plans for projects lead by BA, and/or provide Project Managers with BA work plans, milestones.
  • Familiarity with best in class cloud productivity and services solutions (such as Microsoft 365, ServiceNow).
  • Consistently demonstrated expertise in applying root cause analysis to identify system issues with software or business process.
  • Conceptualize solutions and architectures
