The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering strategic projects and initiatives that support business objectives and service commitments. This includes planning, coordinating, and implementing a range of operational, business, technology, and client-focused initiatives, such as program enhancements, process improvements, service delivery modernization, operational efficiency initiatives, system and workflow changes, organizational transformation projects, and the implementation of new products, services, or business capabilities. The Project Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities, while also managing ongoing operational improvement initiatives and supporting continuous improvement across the organization. What You Will Be Doing... The Project Manager will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects from initiation through closure, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives. Drive project execution, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and provide timely reporting to leadership, ensuring projects align with the business’s strategic and operational objectives. Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and closure of multiple concurrent projects, along with being responsible for requirements gathering and documentation, creation of test plans and execution of end-to-end testing cycle, updating system and process documentation, project-related communications/ training and transitioning knowledge when the project is complete. In partnership with the project sponsor, create a project charter that defines objectives, a baseline scope, schedule and budget; support the development of business case documentation; develop measures of success; risks and assumptions; and resource requirements. Ensure project outcomes align with approved business requirements and strategic priorities. Adhere to internal PMO methodologies, standards and governance frameworks ensuring each project is channeled through the intake process, develop and maintain a tracking schedule and prioritize multiple projects underway to ensure critical milestones remain on track. Track project performance metrics and provide visibility into schedule, budget, risks and outcomes. Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating critical risks and decisions through appropriate governance channels. Develop and execute mitigation and contingency plans. Lead the identification, analysis, and resolution of project issues using structured problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis techniques. Accountable for weekly project health reporting during PMO Portfolio Review meetings with Senior Leadership Team (SLT), providing accurate and timely updates on project status, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints and key milestones. Support SOW management, contract deliverables and project-related procurement activities. Support change management activities related to internal and external project implementations. Promote PMO best practices, standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to summarize and document lessons learned and complete steps for closing projects. Ensure project planning, decision-making and delivery activities reflect the business's values as a certified B Corporation and social enterprise, balancing operational efficiency, stakeholder experience, accessibility, quality, compliance and responsible stewardship of public resources. Preferred to have Scrum or any agile certification. 3 to 5 years progressive experience as a Project Manager or equivalent experience (knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for testing and developing business requirements). Experience in project management in the public, insurance, or health sector is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite such as MS Project, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio. Proficiency using technology tools such as SQL, DevOps, Balsamiq, Figma, ClickUp and JIRA. Ability to apply frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and Scrum throughout a project’s lifecycle. Planning, organizing, and executing multiple concurrent projects of medium to high complexity, delivering them within specified timeframes and budgets. Familiarity with project management applications and collaboration tools. Excellent problem solving, presentations and interpersonal communication skills. Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders i.e. clients, vendors, consultants, external partners and team members to set expectations, deliverables and objectives. Demonstrated ability to manage projects within complex stakeholder environments where public interest, client experience, operational effectiveness and business objectives must be balanced.
