Who we need

The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. You will manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality and control guidelines throughout the full project development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. You will contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

\n What you will do\n

  • \nEnsure results are delivered in alignment with the service model and provide value to our partners;
  • \n
  • \nManage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business;
  • \n
  • \nProvide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones;
  • \n
  • \nOwn full project life cycle: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously;
  • \n
  • \nManage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives;
  • \n
  • \nReport on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities;
  • \n
  • \nWork creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence;
  • \n
  • \nParticipate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization;
  • \n
  • \nPrepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project;
  • \n
  • \nProcure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes;
  • \n
  • \nManage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings;
  • \n
  • \nProvide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership;
  • \n
  • \nUnderstand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs;
  • \n
  • \nDemonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices;
  • \n
  • \nManage project scope and changes;
  • \n
  • \nAct as an internal quality control check for the project;
  • \n
  • \nManage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution;
  • \n
  • \nDevelop and manage all aspects of project and/or program engagement from planning, external relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues;
  • \n
  • \nMonitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables;
  • \n
  • \nDefine success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle.

  • \nThe education. University degree in a related field, and a PMP Certification would be strong asset.
  • \n
  • \nThe experience. 10+ years of experience, including a significant demonstrated experience in Project management in process implementation, structure reorganization in Financial services, or Insurance industry. Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence. Experience with/and understanding of full project, product or program lifecycle.

  • \nThe skills. Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives. Business (Lending and Insurance) analysis skills. Strong command and control on holding people accountable and driving results. Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results. Advanced knowledge of productivity tools including MS Office.
