Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will be responsible for project organization, coordination between teams, actions follow-up, internal and external reporting to the client. The ideal candidate is an engineer specialized in maritime or civil engineering, with a passion for project management and a desire to excel in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the project management following Egis performance procedure (such as document control, change management or quality control).
  • Organize and coordinate project activities, ensuring that all teams are working together effectively to achieve project goals.
  • Follow up on project actions, ensuring that deadlines are met, and that progress is communicated to the client.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the various processes.
  • Act as the support of the project director regarding project organization providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams worldwide as well as local teams to ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and deliver project management reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Keep the project schedule up to date, implement modifications, report key indicators.
  • Monitor and update the budget, in close collaboration with the Project Director, report key indicators.
  • Depending on the project, you may be asked to take on technical tasks to support the production of technical studies related to maritime or civil infrastructures upon requirements (technical documents analysis, synthesis, …)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Maritime Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be proficient in handling Primavera 6 and Microsoft tools.
  • Experience of engineering project planification.
  • Expertise in drafting and presenting reports.
  • Successful experience of working in a multiple expertise environment.
  • Development, deployment, and continuous improvement of planning processes, procedures, and systems.
  • A good all-round team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
