Modern Niagara is seeking a Site Superintendent to oversee the seamless execution of energy and decarbonization projects, manage resources, and ensure safety and quality control while providing the best possible Client experience. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, monitoring progress, and maintaining project schedules. With a focus on adherence to health and safety policies, you will lead teams to meet milestones, while overseeing equipment maintenance and repairs. Your adaptability, analytical thinking, and leadership skills will be essential in driving project success and fostering a safe working environment.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day construction project activities, ensuring strict adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Monitor and track project progress, providing regular status updates to stakeholders for effective communication.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project execution efficiency.
  • Ensure daily operational needs are met and maintain organized crews and project plans to meet construction expectations.
  • Proactively review all construction activities, ensuring safety is on top of each worker's mind and site safety conditions are maintained at the highest standard
  • Drive project schedules in collaboration with the project team, maintaining thorough daily reports to track site progress, events, and inspections.
  • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans and specifications, meeting milestones and completion dates.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ Years of construction experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar direct supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of Health and safety practices and procedures as they apply to construction processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and completing construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
  • Direct and guide team members, fostering their professional growth and enhancing their performance.
  • Develop the capabilities of the team by providing continuous feedback and creating opportunities for learning through formal and informal methods.
