Purpose

The Web Platforms Specialist reports to the Manager, Web Platforms, and is responsible for the ongoing health, performance, and strategic evolution of Armstrong Collective's key digital experiences. This role blends hands-on delivery with product ownership, ensuring both platforms deliver exceptional experiences for guests and trade partners while meeting business objectives.

In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations and sprint delivery, this role supports in shaping long-term roadmaps that drive platform growth. Acting as a central point of contact between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, the Web Platforms Specialist gathers insights, prioritizes initiatives, and ensures that platform development is aligned with organizational vision and evolving user needs.

Key Areas of Accountability

Product Ownership & Roadmapping

  • Develop and maintain 1-2 year product roadmaps for our digital experiences, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Sales, IT) and external users to gather feedback, identify pain points, and translate insights into actionable development priorities.
  • Lead feature prioritization, balancing business impact, technical feasibility, and user value.
  • Define clear platform visions that guide future enhancements and inform sprint planning.
  • Stay current on digital trends, competitor landscapes, and emerging technologies to recommend forward-looking improvements.

Digital Platform Management

  • Ensure Armstrong Collective's digital platforms, including websites, guest portals, and digital experiences, are operational and performing optimally.
  • Collaborate with IT, Marketing, and external agencies to address digital functionality and UX concerns.
  • Translate business needs from stakeholders into technical requirements.
  • Lead sprint management cycle with development agency overseeing testing, prioritization, approvals and adhering to strict deployment timelines and schedules
  • Work closely with digital media and analytics to identify opportunities for improved user experience and measurement of guest engagement with digital platforms.

Ecommerce

  • Collaborate with the digital experience, brand, content, and IT teams to identify new opportunities for ecommerce system improvement.
  • Ensure accurate ecommerce data tracking is in place, communicating with the marketing analytics team to create agreed upon measurement systems and to identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Technical background in Technology or Marketing (required).

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in digital product management, platform ownership, or related roles.
  • Proven experience developing product roadmaps and translating business objectives into technical execution.
  • Strong track record of managing cross-functional projects and leading sprint cycles in Agile environments.
  • Hands-on experience in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Proficiency with CMS platforms such as Drupal.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics and digital marketing tools.
  • Experienced in A/B testing, website optimization or conversion rate optimization (Preferred)

Skills & Competencies

  • Effective project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology or similar (preferred).
  • Ability to lead backlog prioritization and sprint planning, balancing business and technical needs.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, APIs, Javascript) (preferred).
  • Strong ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills, making complex data accessible.
  • Deep understanding of marketing strategy, customer psychology, and digital user experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Ability to balance tactical delivery with strategic thinking and long-term planning.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role with minimum 3 days work from office based in Vancouver.

Compensation

  • The base salary offered for this role is $63,000 to $73,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
  • Eligible for Armstrong Collective's discretionary bonus program
