WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Director of Financial Systems and Transformation, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of financial systems management and process improvement within our organization. Your role will be pivotal in driving transformational change initiatives aimed at enhancing our financial operations, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role in shaping our organization's financial strategy and capabilities while leading the optimization of our cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for optimizing the use of Oracle Cloud ERP systems throughout the organization.
  • Lead the development and execution of financial systems strategies aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date of industry trends and best practices to ensure the continuous evolution and enhancement of financial systems.
  • Evaluate existing ERP system, and supporting supply chain, procurement, and financial processes to identify opportunities for optimization and automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, procurement, supply chain, operations, and IT, to assess current processes and technology solutions and identify areas for optimization.
  • Lead transformation initiatives to accelerate the maturity of our processes by identifying opportunities for improvement, including the automation of workflows, and enhanced system functionality to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Enhance management reporting capabilities by designing and implementing customized reports, dashboards, and analytics tools.
  • Implement control enhancements within the ERP system to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Provide leadership in leveraging data insights to drive informed decision-making and improve organizational performance.
  • Drive efforts to streamline and enhance financial processes through automation, reengineering workflows, and implementing standardized procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive the successful rollout of additional modules and functionality available within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Identify opportunities for decommissioning of legacy systems and redundant processes, driving cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure adoption of new ERP functionalities and proficiency in utilizing the ERP system effectively.
  • Strong skills in developing training materials and conducting user training sessions on ERP functionalities to facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Partner with IT and external vendors to implement system upgrades, integrations, and drive continuous improvement. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing financial systems transformation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project goals successfully.
  • Monitor system performance and data integrity, proactively addressing issues and implementing controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading ERP implementations, financial systems transformations, and process improvements.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-based ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP,) and best practices in ERP optimization.
  • Experience in change management, training, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, supply chain processes, including procurement, and other related business processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, prioritize tasks, and deliver results on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and develop practical solutions to address them.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in documentation and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and internal controls related to financial systems and processes. Experience implementing and maintaining compliance programs.
  • Ability to think strategically and align financial systems and transformation initiatives with organizational goals and objectives. Experience developing and executing strategic plans for financial systems optimization and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience in stakeholder management and building relationships across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully leading complex projects from initiation to completion within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Willingness to stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in financial systems and transformation. Ability to adapt to changing business environments and priorities.

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work model with a combination of in-office and remote work.
