Position Summary The Project Manager will help define, plan, initiate, execute, control and close projects. Responsibilities will include directing and maximizing the efforts of cross-disciplinary project teams to produce specific products or results within the technical, cost, schedule and quality specifications. Projects may include NPD (New Product Development) and PSI (Product Sustainability and Improvement) projects and initiatives. Responsibilities Set up and manage a cross-functional/cross-departmental Project Team to ensure that the assigned project successfully meets its quality, cost (NRE and DTC) and schedule requirements Create and track the master Gantt for the entire program; ensure all deliverables and milestones are met Align internal divisions and outside suppliers to ensure that support for master timing, test and validation plans, prototype needs and constraints is agreed to and met Provide support for report generation on projects (both those managed directly and in support of other Project Managers) Create and track the open issues list for the entire program Ensure that all applicable project documentation is produced and maintained to produce a valid and auditable paper trail on how the project developed Create, establish and ensure that the system and component validation test plans (DVP&R) are met and that the end product meets or exceeds the requirement Produce status, tracking and flash reports on projects being run Manage staff assigned to the project team within the context of being the Project Team Leader Present regular gate reviews to management on projects being managed Interface with customers and sales staff on assigned projects Qualifications Qualifications PMP designation or a relevant combination of technical training and project management experience/training A minimum of five years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment Degree in engineering in related discipline is an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent listening skills Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to perform effectively with people at all levels of a cross-functional development team Well-developed conflict resolution and negotiation skills Proficiency in the use of personal computers and automated tools, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project Experience using SAP, especially the PS module would be an asset Parker Hannifin Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies. What you’ll do

Requirements
Candidates should have a PMP designation or equivalent experience and at least five years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. A degree in engineering and proficiency in MS Project and SAP are highly desired.
