Reports to: Manager, Early Talent and Employment Branding

Position Overview

As the Employment Branding Specialist, you will lead our recruitment marketing efforts and help bring our employer brand to life across Canada. In this role, you will manage day-to-day relationships with internal partners and external agencies, ensuring our employment brand is executed consistently and effectively. You are data-driven and digitally savvy, using AI to sharpen messaging, streamline workflows, and support the overall health of our job board and vendor ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Field Leaders, HR, and Talent Acquisition to identify localized hiring needs and ensure our national employment branding strategy reflects regional priorities across stores and the Store Support Centre.

  • Translate business requirements into clear creative briefs for internal marketing teams and external agency partners, ensuring campaigns support talent acquisition priorities and drive results.

  • Develop targeted local marketing initiatives that resonate with the communities we serve and keep The Home Depot Canada employer brand top of mind for candidates.

  • Oversee the development and scheduling of employment branding deliverables, including print and digital collateral, photoshoots, signage, and promotional materials, in partnership with internal teams and external agencies.

  • Ensure all deliverables whether created by an agency or internal partner adhere to The Home Depot’s brand standards and business priorities.

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with the Retail Staffing Centre and third-party vendors, monitoring job board performance and making recommendations to optimize investment and candidate reach.

  • Leverage AI tools to draft localized messaging, summarize field feedback, and streamline routine project tracking to improve efficiency and speed to market.

  • Monitor digital campaign trends and job board metrics and provide insights on what is working and where adjustments are needed to improve candidate flow.

  • Manage the invoicing and billing lifecycle for branding activities, ensuring vendors are paid on time and budgets are tracked accurately.

  • Coordinate the rollout of seasonal hiring campaigns by aligning stakeholders across PR, Marketing, Talent Acquisition, and external partners.

  • Manage The Home Depot Canada career site and LinkedIn presence, ensuring content reflects the voice of the brand and is optimized for engagement and search visibility.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, translating business needs into actionable marketing strategies and plans.

  • Experience managing the full production lifecycle of creative assets across print, digital, and/or video through internal teams or external agencies.

  • Ability to interpret recruitment data and identify the most effective marketing strategies to improve results.

  • Comfort using generative AI tools to streamline copy development, support reporting, generate ideas, and enhance day-to-day productivity.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present creative ideas as confidently as data-driven insights.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant tools used for social media and content development.

  • Strong knowledge of digital communication channels, including web, social media, and related content platforms.
