Job Title: Senior Project Manager (underground, earthworks and utility infrastructure) Location: Edmonton, Alberta Salary: $140,000 – $155,000 annually (based on experience) Perks & Benefits: 100% employer health & dental coverage, employer RRSP match, vehicle allowance, company provided truck, 4 weeks vacation, professional development opportunities.
Why Join Our Client? Our client is a well‑established underground, earthworks and utility infrastructure contractor providing services to industrial, municipal and private clients for their commercial, residential, institutional and industrial construction projects. They have operations across Alberta, BC and Ontario working closely with General Contractors to deliver impactful projects. They are hiring a Senior PM to manage projects in their northern Alberta operations sitting in Edmonton. In this role, you will work closely with clients and GCs to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will be the most Senior Project Manager in the location and have the opportunity to mentor more junior PMs and Project Coordinators with the strong support from the estimating, safety and office operations team, while getting guidance from the Operations Manager.
What You’ll Do: Oversee project life cycle from conception to close out with accurate reporting analysis of major deliverables. Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and resource plans Collaborate with the Operations Manager to assign project resources and oversee jobsite administration and clerical staff. Ensure safety policies and practices are implemented and enforced on site. Maintain professional relationships with owners, project engineers, subcontractors and external stakeholders. Oversee contract administration, proposals, and negotiations Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality expectations
What We’re Looking For: 10 years+ experience managing underground utility infrastructure and or earthwork scope Experience managing complex schedules and resources for multiple project backlogs and clients. Diploma or degree in Construction Management or equivalent practical experience Strong relationship‑building skills with subcontractors, engineers, consultants, and owners’ representatives Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities Solid expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management Knowledge of construction regulations, standards, and best practices Experience using Bid2Win and MS Project (strong asset)
