About the Role: NTWIST is seeking technically minded Junior and Associate Product & Customer Delivery Managers to join our team in Edmonton. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or a mining professional who enjoys technology and wants to bridge the gap between operational expertise and digital technology. In this hybrid position, you will gain exposure to how modern software solutions are built to solve complex challenges in the mining industry. You will work across three key pillars: supporting product development, assisting with marketing initiatives, and managing customer deployment. We are looking for someone who understands the nuances of gold, copper, or iron ore operations and is eager to apply that knowledge to improve our software products.
Responsibilities:
Product Development Research & Prototyping: Conduct research on mining workflows and assist in prototyping new product features. Requirements Preparation: Translate complex operational needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for the engineering team. Alignment & Testing: Collaborate with software developers to ensure solutions align with business goals; perform functional testing of prototypes before release.
Marketing Support (Occasional) Content Creation: Assist in preparing marketing collateral, including brochures and blog articles that explain technical concepts to a mining audience. Event Participation: Participate in webinars, industry conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and engage with potential clients.
Deployment Support & Customer Delivery Customization Management: Work directly with customers to define customization requirements (e.g., data integrations, reporting formats) that fit their specific site operations. Delivery Planning: Create detailed delivery plans in coordination with implementation engineers and the technical team. Training & Support: Conduct product training sessions for end-users (geologists, planners, metallurgists) and provide ongoing support to ensure successful adoption of NTWIST’s software products.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field (such as Geology and Mineral Processing). Mining Industry Knowledge: Operational Understanding: Strong familiarity with mining operations across gold, copper, and iron ore sectors. You should understand the end-to-end process from Exploration to processing. Technical Domains: Solid understanding of Geology (resource modeling), Planning (life-of-mine vs. short-term scheduling), and Mine Operations (site logistics, stockpiles, feed management).
Required Skills: Excel Proficiency: Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and scenario planning. Programming: Beginner-level programming skills are required; familiarity with Python and computational libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas) is a strong asset for handling data logic within the product. Software Familiarity: Experience or knowledge of typical software used by geologists and mine planners is essential. Examples include Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac, MinePlan, SAP, or similar industry standard tools. Soft Skills: Communication: Ability to translate technical mining constraints into layman terms. Adaptability: Comfortable switching product development and delivery tasks. Location: Must be willing to live and work in Edmonton, Alberta.
Pay range and compensation package: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Opportunity to shape the future of mining technology while working closely with industry experts. Mentorship from senior leadership in product management and engineering. Collaborative environment based in Edmonton with a focus on innovation and practical solutions.
Equal Opportunity Statement: NTWIST is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
