Job Summary: The Solution Value Trainer – Transport Solutions (North America) is responsible for equipping Sales, Service, and Channel teams with the capabilities to effectively position, sell, and apply Transport solutions in customer environments. This role goes beyond technical knowledge, focusing on value-based selling, customer problem solving, and commercial impact. The trainer translates product features into compelling customer outcomes, develops skills in objection handling and discovery, and adapts training dynamically based on learner needs and real-world challenges. The role owns the end-to-end learning experience, ensuring training drives commercial performance, win rates, and solution adoption across the region. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities Commercial Enablement & Value Selling: Enable Sales, Service, and Channel Partners to confidently position and apply Transport solutions in customer environments. Translate technical features and system capabilities into clear customer value propositions, aligned with customer needs, challenges, and outcomes. Train teams on core commercial skills, including: Customer discovery & active listening Value-based selling Objection handling Positioning against competitors Integrate real customer scenarios and field challenges into training content. Continuously adjust training based on feedback, learner needs, and market dynamics. Technical & Solution Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge of Transport products, systems, applications, and solutions, including their operational context and use cases. Support commercial effectiveness by linking technical capability to customer outcomes, solution adoption, and lifecycle value. Support Product, R&D, and Commercial teams in positioning solutions effectively through training, including new product launches and system updates. Act as a technical authority within the Transport training ecosystem, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and practical applicability of training content. Training Strategy & Delivery: Develop and execute Transport technical training programs, including learning processes, curricula, assessments, tools, and certification paths. Ensure that the development of training programs is grounded in skills assessments and aligned with the company’s competence framework and career paths, enabling structured upskilling, progression, and role‑based development across the Transport organization. Design and deliver high‑impact training programs (classroom, virtual, blended), aligned with adult learning principles. Coordinate the end‑to‑end training process, from needs analysis to delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Ensure alignment and consistency of training content across regions, collaborating closely with global and regional education teams. Align training initiatives with business priorities (growth, pipeline, win rates, adoption) Track training activity and effectiveness using KPIs and LMS reporting, ensuring proper governance and documentation. Leverage AI-assisted and digital content authoring tools (including but not limited to Articulate 360, Synthesia, and equivalent platforms) to develop scalable, high‑impact training assets aligned with modern learner expectations and operational efficiency goals. Own the governance, versioning, and refresh cycle of technical training content, ensuring materials remain accurate, current, and aligned with product and solution updates across the portfolio Stakeholder & Business Alignment: Partner closely with Product, R&D, Sales, Service, Marketing, and HR/L&D to identify capability gaps and align on messaging and positioning. Ensure training content reflects relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards applicable to Transport solutions in the region. Support onboarding and upskilling for AED, Sales, and Service teams, including assessment of technical knowledge and application competence. Structure training offerings to enhance learner experience, relevance, and real‑world application. Represent the Transport Education function in cross‑functional and cross‑regional initiatives. Establish a feedback loop with Product, R&D, and Commercial teams, translating field training observations and learner performance data into actionable product and content improvement recommendations. Leadership & Continuous Development: Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, learning, and performance excellence through education. Contribute to the development of a customer‑centric mindset, ensuring training reflects customer realities and usage scenarios. Continuously develop personal technical, instructional, and facilitation capabilities, staying current with Transport technologies and learning innovations. Minimum 5 years of experience in education or training, including content development and delivery Strong understanding of value selling and value proposition Proven ability to translate technical complexity into customer‑relevant value and use cases. Experience with traditional and modern training methods (classroom, virtual, e‑learning, coaching). Experience working in a matrixed, international environment. Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse audiences and seniority levels. High level of autonomy, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency is a plus. Strong project management skills with the ability to influence without formal authority. Demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience. Domestic travel across North America required; limited international travel as needed. Typical travel expectation up to 60–70%, depending on training calendar and business needs.
