About the role

Who We Are XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air handling systems. Focused on energy research and development, we help reduce the carbon footprint across many industries. We are proud to announce the opening of our new technology headquarters in Mesa, Arizona. This expansion reflects our commitment to growth, innovation, and the development of sustainable climate solutions. The Opportunity The Product Program Manager will play a critical role in strengthening the execution of strategic programs for our key customers. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for simultaneously managing multiple complex programs and multiple projects related to the same customer, requiring close coordination between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and service teams. This role sits at the heart of organizational execution and accountability, ensuring alignment across all functions to deliver performance in a fast-growing and constantly evolving environment. In parallel, this person will contribute to the deployment and operationalization of XNRGY’s Product Program Management model by helping implement governance mechanisms, execution standards, and best practices across the organization. Position Overview The Product Program Manager is responsible for the complete execution of assigned programs, from feasibility validation through to shipment readiness, while ensuring adherence to timelines, quality requirements, and cost objectives. As the conductor of execution, this role turns customer commitments into actionable plans and ensures their smooth implementation across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams. Positioned at the intersection of these functions, the role ensures coordination, drives team accountability, and guarantees that every deliverable meets the expected level of quality and maturity at each stage of the product lifecycle. You will work in close collaboration with the following teams: Application Engineering, Sales, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Planning, Procurement, Advanced Manufacturing, Product Engineering (mechanical and electrical), Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE), and Production Site Management. You will also collaborate with overall manufacturing operations, including: Logistics, Fabrication, Assembly, Quality Control, Health & Safety, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure seamless integration between design, production, and final delivery. The role combines: Cross-functional leadership to align stakeholders and coordinate execution across all functions. Functional authority to challenge deliverables and enforce readiness criteria before advancing to the next stage. You will also be responsible for validating execution feasibility before project launch, ensuring that timelines, engineering maturity levels, and manufacturing constraints are consistent prior to any internal commitment. Key Responsibilities Program Execution Management Manage the full lifecycle of multiple complex programs, from pre-launch validation (G1-G2) through to shipment readiness (G6). Deliver program performance according to agreed timelines, quality standards, and cost objectives (margin protection, no margin expansion responsibility). Serve as the single point of accountability for program execution performance. Feasibility Validation (Pre-G2) Validate execution feasibility prior to project launch, including: Realism of timelines; Engineering maturity assumptions; Manufacturing readiness risks. Provide structured recommendations to the Sales Program Manager to support realistic and achievable commitments. Design Industrialization (Gate 3) Lead DFM/DFA reviews (Design for Manufacturing / Design for Assembly). Challenge the level of engineering readiness. Drive early industrialization decisions. Initiate and oversee engineering changes (ECR/ECO/ECN). Hold authority to delay progression if the design is not sufficiently mature or manufacturable. Manufacturing Preparation and Execution (Gates 4-5) Ensure all elements are ready before production launch: Complete and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM); Material availability; Procurement plan alignment; Manufacturing instructions; Resource and capacity planning; QHSE controls; Process preparation. Also oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT), quality inspections, and documentation compliance. Production Support Act as a key partner to site leadership from the start of production. Participate in resolving: Supply chain challenges; Engineering changes (internal or customer-driven); Manufacturing constraints. Facilitate decisions by balancing impacts on risk, cost, and schedule. Shipment Preparation and Handover (Gate 6) Ensure the product and all documentation are complete, accurate, and ready prior to shipment. Provide a seamless handover to service teams, including: Field installation documentation; Work instructions; Technical drawings; Test and validation reports. Ensure all on-site installation activities are properly supported before shipment. Post-Shipment Performance and Issue Management Retain responsibility for product-related issues after shipment. Ensure: Issues are properly documented and escalated; Corrective actions are assigned to the responsible functions; Records are closed quickly without compromising field operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for the Service Program Manager on all product-related issues. Program Governance and Cross-Functional Leadership Establish and lead program governance at all levels: Daily execution meetings; Weekly cross-functional coordination; Monthly leadership reports. Drive activity prioritization, risk and constraint escalation, and cross-functional decision-making. Advance issues, manage difficult discussions, and ensure accountability across all teams. Operational Model Deployment Contribute to the deployment and continuous improvement of the Product Program Management model by participating in: Definition of roles and responsibilities; Development of governance mechanisms; Creation of tools, templates, and dashboards. Help build a culture of operational excellence while delivering active programs. First Six Months Priorities Stabilize execution of current strategic programs. Implement strong cross-functional governance. Improve manufacturing readiness and reduce execution variability. Strengthen the transition between design and production (Gates 3-4). Improve delivery quality and transfers to service. Contribute to the deployment of the Product Program Management model. Candidate Profile We are looking for a seasoned execution leader with strong experience managing complex programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience 15+ years of experience in program or project management in manufacturing, HVAC, industrial systems, or equivalent sectors. Proven track record managing complex programs involving multiple simultaneous projects. Strong knowledge of product development, engineering, industrialization, supply chain, and procurement. Experience in high-growth and transformational environments. Key Competencies Execution Leadership: Ability to deliver results through rigorous management, strong accountability, and excellent mastery of complex programs. Cross-Functional Influence: Ability to mobilize teams without direct hierarchical authority, manage conflict, and align priorities. Judgment & Decision Making: Skill in balancing risks, costs, and timelines to make informed decisions. Change Management & Systems Thinking: Ability to thrive in changing environments while building sustainable processes and structures. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communicator capable of effectively influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Role Boundaries The Product Program Management is not responsible for: Customer relationship management (handled by the Sales Program Manager); Project portfolio prioritization (COO); Product strategy or standardization (CTO / SVP Operations); On-site execution or commissioning (Service Program Manager); Margin expansion targets. This position is accountable for execution performance and program readiness to ensure the organization fully meets its commitments to customers. Why Join XNRGY?
