Project Coordinator Ottawa, ON SUMMARY Reporting to the Project Manager, Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required support to a large-scale construction project. PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE Support the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in planning and implementing schedules, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintained Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed Prepare project documentation such as contracts, permits, and technical documents. Advise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems Assist in maintaining and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget Meet with Owners and Consultants, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control Interfaces with project team, subcontractors and related third parties Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall objectives of the company. POSITION REQUIREMENTS “Include a combination of skills that the candidate must have on Day 1 and any technical/soft skills required to be successful in role. Try to keep this list limited to 6-8 bullet points.” Example: 2+ years of experience in construction / project coordination Experience on MTO road construction projects and bridge building/structures is desired Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives Superb communication and interpersonal skills Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities. Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges Travel requirements: travel to various work locations is required Driver’s license is required WHAT WE OFFER Expected Hourly Rate: $25 - 35 per hour. The actual hourly rate will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations. Comprehensive group benefits program.
