Role Description This temporary, on-site Freelance Hospitality Consultant role is based in Moncton, NB and supports local hospitality businesses in improving operations and profitability. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing current restaurant or hotel processes, reviewing financial and performance metrics, and recommending strategies for staffing, service standards, and workflow optimization. The consultant will collaborate with ownership and management to implement best practices, conduct training sessions for front-of-house and back-of-house teams, and support the rollout of new service protocols. The role also involves monitoring results, refining action plans, and providing clear, data-informed feedback to stakeholders. Qualifications Demonstrated Hospitality Consulting experience, including operational assessments and strategy development. Strong Training and coaching skills to support frontline staff and supervisors. Proven Customer Service expertise with a focus on guest satisfaction and service recovery. Hands-on Front Office experience in hospitality environments (e.g., hotels, resorts, or similar settings). Food & Beverage knowledge, including service standards, menu execution, and cost management. Ability to analyze financial and operational data, and translate insights into practical action plans. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work on-site with diverse teams. Previous leadership or management experience in hospitality operations is an asset. Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience. Availability to work on-site in Moncton, NB for the duration of the temporary assignment.
