The HSEQ Supervisor takes Total Ownership for the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) processes and performance for the assigned asset. Serving as the primary HSEQ focal point for the asset, the Supervisor provides direct supervision, coaching, and development of Offshore HSEQ Leads.

The role ensures compliance with Company, Client, and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of operational excellence, procedural discipline, and risk management. Working closely with Operations, Client Representatives, and the HSEQ Manager, the Supervisor proactively identifies opportunities to improve safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Leadership and Supervision • Provide visible leadership with a Total Ownership attitude and promote a culture where Nobody Gets Hurt. • Directly supervise, mentor, coach, and develop Offshore HSEQ Leads assigned to the asset. • Set performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support the professional development of the HSEQ team. • Coordinate and prioritize HSEQ activities for Offshore HSEQ Leads to ensure effective support across all operational shifts and crews.

HSEQ Program Management • Serve as the primary HSEQ representative for the assigned asset. • Ensure implementation and compliance with the Company Integrated Journey to Excellence (iJ2E) Management System, Client requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. • Monitor the effectiveness and maturity of HSEQ programs and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce operational risk. • Develop, maintain, and manage asset-specific HSEQ documentation, plans, procedures, and records. Client and Stakeholder Interface • Liaise with Client leadership on HSEQ goals, priorities, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Participate in Client meetings, audits, reviews, and performance discussions, and communicate asset HSEQ performance and trends to Company and Client management. Regulatory Compliance and Management Systems • Analyze and interpret applicable legislation, regulations, industry standards, technical procedures, and Client requirements, and monitor them for changes that may impact asset compliance. • Escalate significant compliance concerns to the HSEQ Manager and Operations Management.

Quality Management • Promote and support compliance with quality standards contained within the Company’s Integrated Management System. • Monitor quality processes, procedures, and performance indicators, and support quality audits, investigations, and corrective actions. Risk Management • Lead and facilitate asset-level risk assessments, hazard identification, safety observations, and workplace inspections. • Ensure effective implementation of risk management processes, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Work Safe Procedures, risk assessments, and isolation plans. • Maintain oversight of the asset risk register and ensure identified risks are appropriately managed. • Review high-risk activities and verify adequate controls are in place prior to execution. Incident Management and Investigation • Coordinate and oversee all incident, near miss, Loss of Containment, environmental release, and property damage investigations occurring on the asset. • Lead investigations using Company, Client, and industry-approved methodologies, ensuring root causes are identified and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are developed and implemented. • Review and approve investigation reports prior to submission to management. • Monitor corrective actions through to completion and verify effectiveness. • Analyze incident trends and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence. Audits, Inspections, and Assurance • Develop and maintain the asset audit and inspection schedule. • Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with Company, Client, and regulatory requirements, and review reports prepared by Offshore HSEQ Leads. • Coordinate Client, regulatory, and third-party audits involving the asset. • Track non-conformance findings and verify completion and effectiveness of corrective actions and After Action Reviews (AARs).

Competency and Training • Ensure Company competency programs, including Authorized to Operate (ATO) and Approved Competent Operator (ACO), and Client competency requirements are effectively implemented and maintained. • Identify HSEQ training needs and support the development of training plans. • Provide guidance and training on HSEQ systems, programs, procedures, and incident reporting requirements. • Ensure facility, site, and safety orientations for new and existing personnel, and support competency assessments and workforce development. Emergency Preparedness and Response • Participate in asset emergency preparedness activities and emergency response planning. • Participate in emergency drills, exercises, and responses, and review performance to identify opportunities for improvement. • Ensure emergency response equipment and preparedness programs remain effective and compliant. Contractor and Asset Assurance • Monitor contractor compliance with Company and Client HSEQ requirements, and participate in contractor evaluations, onboarding, and performance reviews. • Review contractor incidents, audit findings, and corrective actions. • Ensure safety-critical equipment, lifting equipment registers, certifications, and inspection records remain current, serviceable, and available for use. Performance Monitoring and Reporting • Monitor and analyze asset HSEQ performance indicators, trends, and metrics. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc HSEQ reports for Company and Client management. • Develop recommendations and action plans to improve HSEQ performance, and provide summaries of program effectiveness, compliance status, and risk exposure. Safety Culture and Workforce Engagement • Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, coaching, and workforce engagement. • Support pre-tour and pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and HSEQ forums. • Encourage workforce participation in hazard identification and continuous improvement, and foster positive morale, teamwork, and accountability across the asset.

Additional Responsibilities • Support the HSEQ Manager in achieving divisional HSEQ objectives and strategic initiatives, maintaining effective coordination with Operations, Human Resources, Clients, and Corporate Support Functions. • Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in health, safety, environment, engineering, or a relevant subject, or equivalent experience in a related field, is required. • HSE certifications preferred. • At least 7 years of work experience in health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance. Must be able to obtain appropriate offshore certifications, including: • Basic Survival Training (BST) • Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) • Installation Safety Induction • Regulatory Awareness • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
