This role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to patient safety by supporting critical pharmacovigilance and drug safety operations within the healthcare industry. Accountabilities
Receive, review, process, and document clinical and safety information in accordance with standard operating procedures, protocols, and applicable regulations. Enter and maintain accurate patient and safety data within program-specific databases and quality management systems. Review patient information, adverse event reports, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with requirements. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to request additional information, clarify documentation, and support case resolution. Perform quality checks on safety reports and assist with reconciliation activities with clients and partners. Manage incoming documents, including sorting, reviewing, filing, scanning, and attaching relevant reports to patient support and safety databases. Support translation processes and assist with literature search and review activities related to drug safety. Conduct follow-up activities to obtain missing information and ensure safety reports are complete and properly documented. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive patient and medical information. Participate in additional projects, assignments, and on-call responsibilities as required.
Requirements
Minimum college-level education required; a diploma or degree in Life Sciences or a related healthcare field is considered a strong asset. Experience or knowledge in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, medical information, or pharmaceutical environments is preferred. Previous experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical-related fields, including familiarity with medical terminology, is an asset. Strong attention to detail with the ability to review complex information accurately and consistently. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, clients, and healthcare stakeholders. Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, communicate, and resolve issues efficiently. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently in a remote environment with reliable internet access. Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset. Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM when required.
