Reporting to the Director, Language Programs, the Manager, Language Implementation Fund (Manager LIF) is responsible for the management and effective administration and distribution of the Inuktut Implementation Fund and for the third party funding under the Canada Nunavut Agreement on French Language Services and the Inuktut Language, following implementation priorities as described in the Government of Nunavut (GN) wide Language Acts Implementation plan. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring the accountability requirements under the Canada-Nunavut Agreement on French Language Services and the Inuktut Language, are fulfilled and accurate and for preparing material that supports the public accountability in Nunavut on the Language Acts through the Minister of Languages Annual Report. The Language Implementation Fund team is responsible for carrying out specific monitoring, evaluating, auditing and oversighting tasks to ensure that funded scheduled actions are taken, objectives are achieved, progress is measured, and corrective measures are taken when required to address shortfalls or gaps.
