Temporary Full Time 

    This is a student position that is 4 months in duration for the term: September-December. You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University. 

This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program.

This opportunity is perfect for those curious about the impact of governance, delivery methodologies, and strategic portfolio management in shaping technology initiatives that drive business success. As a valued member of our high-impact TPMO team, you’ll have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in a range of core functions including: project delivery governance, centralized reporting, financial oversight, and portfolio operations. You’ll play a key role in upholding delivery standards, streamlining processes, and providing portfolio insights that inform technology investment across the company.   What You’ll Do Support the Technology PMO in governing and advancing delivery excellence across Lifeco by contributing to research, analysis, reporting, and operational oversight. In this role, you will:

Support Governance & Delivery Methodology by helping maintain and evolve Project Delivery Lifecycle standards, gating requirements, templates, and health assessments. Contribute to Centralized Reporting by compiling, validating, and synthesizing portfolio-level insights using Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity). Provide Portfolio Support by coordinating updates and assisting portfolio managers across business areas. Assist with Financial Governance and Reporting through forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and investment reporting alignment. Support Process Improvement & Collaboration by identifying workflow enhancements and strengthening cross-functional teamwork. Prepare Executive-Ready Deliverables such as dashboards, KPI summaries, and presentation materials. Perform Quality Assurance to validate data accuracy and compliance with governance standards. Collaborate with PMO Mentors to learn PMO methodologies and best practices.

  What You’ll Be Working With You may gain exposure to several of the following areas (experience in all is not required):

Governance & Methodology: Delivery standards, Project Delivery frameworks, gating processes, templates, and project health assessments. Portfolio Reporting: Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity), dashboards, KPIs, and enterprise-level reporting. Portfolio Support: Coordinating updates and supporting portfolio managers across business areas. Financial Oversight & Reporting: Forecasting, budgeting alignment, cost tracking, and variance analysis. Process Improvement: Enhancing workflows (MS Visio, PowerPoint), delivery consistency, and cross-team collaboration. Data & Analysis: Working with data to identify trends and support insights. Executive Communication: Developing clear summaries, visuals, and presentation materials. Tools & Platforms: PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Clarity, and other collaboration tools.

  What You Bring

Currently in your second-year or higher and pursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline Interest in how technology initiatives are governed, prioritized, and delivered. Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Power BI is an asset. Curiosity about technology strategy, delivery practices, and governance frameworks. Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks. Collaborative mindset, open to feedback and comfortable working in a team. Strong time-management skills and attention to detail.

 - The base salary for this position is between $48,000 - $71,900 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you. For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.
