Role Name: Project Planning Scheduling Developer Location: Toronto 4 days a week on site F2F interview required Job Type: Long Term Contract Job Description:

  1. Project Planning & Scheduling Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, timelines, and milestones. Track task dependencies, critical paths, and schedule variances. Support Project Managers in establishing baseline plans for project scope, schedule, and cost.
  2. Cost & Financial Control Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures. Track cost variances and support cost control and forecasting activities. Assist with financial reporting, accruals, funding requests, and budget reconciliation.
  3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Collect, consolidate, and analyze project performance data. Prepare and maintain project status reports, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) covering schedule, cost, risks, and issues. Monitor project performance against approved baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar performance measurement techniques.
  4. Risk & Issue Management Maintain project risk and issue registers. Track mitigation plans and resolution actions to ensure timely closure. Escalate critical risks and issues to management as required.
  5. Governance & Compliance Ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, methodologies, governance frameworks, and policies. Support stage-gate reviews, audits, and governance processes. Maintain project documentation in accordance with organizational and compliance requirements.
  6. Change Control Support change request tracking and impact analysis. Maintain change logs and coordinate change approval workflows. Assess schedule and cost impacts resulting from scope changes.
  7. Stakeholder & PMO Support Act as a liaison between Project Managers, the PMO, Finance, and key stakeholders. Support PMO reporting, portfolio-level tracking, and governance activities. Facilitate lessons learned sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Tools & Systems Maintain accurate project data within project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planview, Primavera P6, and Jira. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across project management systems. Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting automation, project controls, and data management processes.
