Piper Companies is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex new product development initiatives within the electronic interconnect and high-speed connectivity industry. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing cross-functional project execution, customer communication, and technical leadership to ensure successful product delivery aligned with market demands. Responsibilities of the Program Manager:
Manage complex new product development projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. Serve as the primary communication interface with customers, providing updates on project status, timelines, and requirements. Lead cross-functional project teams across multiple global sites to ensure alignment and execution. Facilitate internal team meetings to track progress, address action items, and maintain project schedules. Manage internal and external suppliers to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Communicate resource needs to leadership to maintain project timelines and objectives. Define product specifications and project scope in alignment with customer and market requirements. Ensure adherence to financial goals, including capital requests, product costing, and scope management. Drive decision-making to accelerate time to market, production readiness, and profitability. Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles throughout development processes. Coordinate capacity planning to meet anticipated demand throughout project phases. Provide regular updates to functional leadership on project status and risks. Ensure systems and processes are established for product ordering and manufacturing. Identify and mitigate risks through proactive planning and implementation of risk reduction strategies.
Qualifications of the Program Manager:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited four-year university (preferred in Electrical or Mechanical) 4+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably within electronic components, connector manufacturing, or in manufacturing in general. Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings and product documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to various levels of management. Proven ability to manage customer expectations and maintain strong client relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in complex, dynamic environments. Experience with project management tools and software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work with and lead global teams across different regions and time zones. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Compensation for the Program Manager includes:
Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000 Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO Career growth opportunities within a global organization
