What would my role be?
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Redevelopment & Space Planning, you will:
- Provide leadership and coordination for the physical redevelopment of Bruyère Health.
- Collaborate with the Director to coordinate space allocation across all Bruyère Health campuses/sites, including managing space requests and strategizing immediate, short, and long-term space requirements.
- Facilitate the execution of space allocation for all programs in collaboration with Facilities Management.
- Work collaboratively with all programs and services at Bruyère Health, Bruyère Health Research Institute, Bruyère Health Foundation, Bruyère Health Academic Family Medicine, and regional partners to ensure linkage and alignment of health care services for the region as new facilities are planned.
- Assist Leadership throughout the planning process to ensure organizational readiness as projects are executed, including coordination of stakeholder consultations, program planning, design development, and other elements related to the successful development of all redevelopment projects at Bruyère Health.
- Work closely with consultants, key stakeholders, and various committees or content working groups.
How do I qualify?
Required:
- Undergraduate degree, in healthcare, engineering, economics, business, or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience.
- Experience in operational program leadership, with a preference for those in a healthcare setting.
- Experience applying guidelines and standards in the development of programs.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree, in in healthcare (MHA), MBA, or equivalent.
- Previous experience with MOHLTC (Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care) projects or capital planning.
- Valid Certificate of Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of post-acute and/or Bruyère Health clinical programs, policies, and processes.
- Fluent in French and English.
What skills should I possess to succeed in the role?
- Knowledge of quality metrics required to evaluate the efficiency of programs and services.
- Understanding of finance, budgeting, and public sector procurement guidelines.
- Understanding of hospital operations and management related to patient care delivery.
- Awareness of the importance of change management in implementing new processes in complex healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare construction and design guidelines, including space planning concepts.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage at senior levels of an organization.
- Strong writing skills and experience in business case development.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven experience in engaging inter-professional groups independently, understanding business priorities, and determining project requirements.
- Able to utilize integrity, creativity, and enthusiasm to achieve results.
