About the role
Position Summary
We are seeking a Site Superintendent based at a local Edmonton Oil Facility. This is a long-term position, running multiple projects that span through to 2028.
Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.
POSITION DETAILS
Candidates must be local to Edmonton Candidates must be willing to travel and work fluctuating shift schedules as the work demands Monday-Friday (5 on / 2 off) shifts 10-hour days
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing Must have previous industrial experience
Core Accountabilities
Update project control templates for cost and schedule reporting. Manage Subcontractors. Install, alter, repair, maintain various electrical systems and related equipment. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications. Plan layout and illustration of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, to ensure compliance with codes. Supervise field teams. Monitors and enforces safety policies and procedures. Monitor field progress and report to the Site Supervisor or Construction Manager. Plan work fronts and create lookahead schedules. Lead a crew of 10-25+ workers.
