About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional within the bowling or technical service industry to lead our Technical and Service operations. This role is responsible for delivering hands-on leadership across installations, service delivery, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of technical expertise, leadership capability, and operational discipline. They will oversee complex installations, manage departmental performance, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service standards. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on involvement, with the ability to lead internal teams and coordinate external partners to successfully execute projects.

Working closely with the Project Coordinator, Warehouse Manager, and Centre Facilities teams, this role is critical in driving technical excellence, operational efficiency, and customer success.

The What...

Here’s some of what you can expect as part of the role…

Technical Leadership & Training

Lead, coach, and develop Centre Facilities and Technical teams to maintain consistent, high-quality service standards Design and deliver structured training programs, including onboarding, certifications, and advanced technical development Establish and maintain technical standards, best practices, and service procedures Provide hands-on mentoring to improve troubleshooting capability and technical confidence

Centre Performance & Reliability

Drive improvements in games per stop, equipment uptime, and overall centre performance Analyze service data, downtime trends, and equipment performance to identify opportunities Partner with Facilities and Centre leadership to proactively address recurring issues Ensure preventative maintenance programs are executed and continuously enhanced

Warehouse & Inventory Management

Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure availability of parts, tools, and consumables Define minimum stock levels, forecasting, and replenishment processes Standardize parts usage and inventory controls to reduce downtime Support continuous improvement within warehouse operations

Project Leadership & Execution

Act as Foreman on installations, retrofits, and upgrade projects Lead on-site execution and provide technical direction Work with the Project Coordinator to ensure projects are scoped, scheduled, and resourced effectively Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards Ensure proper documentation, training, and project handover Serve as the technical liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and manufacturer standards Promote a strong safety-first culture across teams and project sites Maintain accurate service records, reporting, and technical documentation

The Who…

The be a successful Technical and Service Manager, you’ll have:

5+ years of experience in technical service, maintenance, or field service leadership 2+ years of experience training and developing technical teams Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills 2+ years of project leadership experience in a Foreman or Site Lead role Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals Willingness and ability to travel 50-70% across Canada Experience with bowling equipment and scoring systems Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning
