POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Civil Engineer (P.Eng.) with a strong background in managing Land development and civil/municipal infrastructure. As a civil engineer you must be a motivated team player and leader, to join our team in Abbotsford, BC. You will play a key technical role in a wide variety of Residential and Commercial projects in British Columbia for a broad diversity of clients from proposal to delivery stages.
JOB SCOPE AND TASKS
DESIGN & DRAFTING
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and MS office software
- Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirements
- Design Stormwater management and erosion and sediment control?plans for residential and commercial building
- Prepare record drawings.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION
- Administer projects to ensure scope, schedule and budget compliance;
- Prepare procurement documents, including request for proposals, request for quotation and tender documents;
- Facilitate meetings with clients, prepare meeting agenda and issues meeting minutes;
- Conduct site inspections and prepare regular inspection reports; and
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE?
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle for all the seasons and weather condition
- Technical diploma in engineering, bachelor's degree is preferred
- Experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports/drawings
- ?of experience in civil engineering and/or structure/project management
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills, including the ability work in a team environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Land development and civil/municipal infrastructure design (stormwater, water distribution, sanitary/septic, ESC, roads)
- Design Stormwater management plans for residential and commercial building
- Undertake and oversee various technical Civil engineering?tasks
- Complete front-end, preliminary and detailed design in a variety of technical contexts, focused on Civil engineering designs.
- Perform site visits and site inspections
- Foster critical relationships with clients, technical and non-technical staff, municipal representatives, and technology suppliers
- Interface with other departments to develop and implement multi-disciplinary project strategies
- Work location: Abbotsford office
- Must be present at the office or job site Monday through Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
