About the role

Your Opportunity:

Under the direction and supervision of the CPSM Project Leads, within the Business Operations & Systems Support area, the Coop Work Experience Student - Data Analyst, Project Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support Supply Chain Management functions and initiatives. The successful candidate may be required to travel to other sites within the Edmonton area. Please Note: This is an 8-month coop student position.

Description:

The prospective duties for this position to are as follows: Analysis of contracting, purchasing, and supply chain data, including transaction costing and their downstream financial impact. Compile and analyze primary and secondary data from various inventories and supply chain areas. Process mapping and providing assistance in evaluating processes to identify opportunities to improve and streamline CPSM’s processes and procedures. Documentation for all work completed, compiling and reporting on findings and presenting results to initiative stakeholders. Development of operations reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), data models and other analytical tools. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must be enrolled in post-secondary cooperative education program. Excellent critical thinking and the ability to apply knowledge to complex business scenarios. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Professional demeanor and ability to relate effectively to various levels of the organization. Intermediate (to advanced) computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Suite of applications. Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage time. Additional Required Qualifications:

Completed courses or work experience in the healthcare sector and/or knowledge of healthcare supply chain management. Understanding of Oracle, SAP or other procurement information systems. Understanding of MS Project or Project Management Tracking Software. Prior experience or courses on supply chain management and analytics. Prior experience or courses on financial modeling and managerial costing.

Preferred Qualifications:

A supply chain management-focused major or minor would be preferred but it is not mandatory.
