The Role: Reporting to the Construction Manager or Division Manager, the successful candidate will manage electrical projects from estimating and pre-construction through to project completion. Depending on your experience and division, you may focus on estimating, project management, or a combination of both while working closely with clients, consultants, general contractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal operations teams.
Key Responsibilities: As an Electrical Project Manager / Estimator, responsibilities may include: Managing electrical projects from tender through to final completion. Preparing accurate estimates, quantity take-offs, budgets, and tender submissions. Reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation. Managing project schedules, procurement, labour resources, and overall financial performance. Monitoring project costs, forecasting, progress billings, change orders, and WIP reporting. Coordinating field teams, site supervisors, forepersons, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.• Building and maintaining strong relationships with owners, consultants, general contractors, and clients. Identifying project risks and implementing proactive solutions to mitigate delays and cost impacts. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and support field operations. Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. Managing project closeout, commissioning, deficiencies, and final handover documentation. Driving continuous improvement initiatives, operational efficiencies, and best practices across projects.
What You Bring: 3+ years of Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating experience Experience working for an electrical contractor within the construction sector Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery Experience pricing projects, preparing tenders, or managing electrical construction projects Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents Strong knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, and cost control Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft OOice and construction management software
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in one or more of the following would be considered an asset: Electrical Red Seal Certification Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma Experience with Accubid, Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar estimating software Experience delivering healthcare, institutional, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, or residential mixed-use projects Design-build and design-assist project experience Strong contract administration and procurement experience
Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $100,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and level.
