Description:

As a key member of the Health Link team, the Senior Project Manager – Technology and Innovation is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of small to medium-sized projects or key components of large, complex initiatives within the Patient Navigation and System Integration portfolio. This role ensures successful project outcomes through effective management of timelines, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations. The Senior Project Manager oversees project governance, coordinates vendor and internal team contributions, and ensures alignment with organizational priorities and standards. The role plays a critical part in risk and issue management, proactively identifying challenges and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on quality, schedule, and scope. Additionally, this position supports organizational change management by engaging stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, and ensuring operational readiness for new technologies and processes. The role serves as a liaison between clinical, operational, and technical teams to enable seamless integration of innovative solutions that enhance service delivery within Health Link.

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field. Equivalent education/experience may be considered. Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably in healthcare or complex technical environments. Demonstrated experience leading small to medium-sized projects and contributing to large-scale programs. Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is required. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks. Experience managing project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables. Proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, JIRA, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in risk and issue management, including development of mitigation and escalation strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project charters, schedules, and status reporting. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including clinical, IT, and vendor partners. Strong understanding of organizational change management principles and practices. Experience leading stakeholder engagement and facilitating consensus across diverse groups. Ability to translate business needs into actionable project plans and solutions. Experience with vendor management, including tracking deliverables and ensuring accountability. Knowledge of healthcare systems, workflows, and privacy/security requirements in Alberta. Strong presentation and reporting skills for executive and operational audiences. Ability to work independently while contributing to broader program objectives. Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in contact centre technology and web products. Experience supporting digital transformation, AI, or innovation initiatives. Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies. Knowledge of patient navigation or integrated care environments.
