Role Details
As a logistics leadership volunteer, you will be part of our organizing committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.

In this role, you will be supporting the efforts of the Canadian Cancer Society to raise critical funds to change the future for those living with cancer and beyond. The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for our volunteer Event Day Experience Lead to support our newest event, “Trivia Night” event. Volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society is more than just a task or experience – it has a real impact. The Canadian Cancer Society is actively recruiting an Event Day Experience Lead to join our team.
Brief Overview:
Working in partnership with the CCS Staff Partner and the Committee, the Event Day Experience Lead will support CCS staff partner with experience related logistics.

- Committed to the confidentiality of all CCS records, business, and intellectual property.
- Able to dedicate 1-3 hours per week (more in the final weeks leading up to event day) working on this event.

Your commitment
As the Event Day Experience Lead you can expect to work on the following:
- Support staff partner with experience related logistics.
- Design event day theme, décor and event-flow.
- Manage stage and podium, including amps, microphones and MC equipment set up.
- Plan and execute impactful activities during the event.
- Organize fundraising rewards and awards for top fundraising family and corporate teams and individuals.
- Be onsite on event day for set up, event staffing and post-event tear down.
- Work closely with Vendor Relations Lead.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Canadian Cancer Society.
- Flexible to jump-in where needed on committee tasks.
