We operate national and provincial lotteries in partnership with 3500 retail partners, provide the games, technology & oversight to 37 brick & mortar casinos, and operate a safe secure and 100% legal online gambling presence PlayNow.com. In our recently completed fiscal year, BCLC generated a record $1.4 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations, host local governments, health care, education and community programs across the province.  JOB SUMMARY   The Project Portfolio Analyst 2 is part of BCLC’s Enterprise Portfolio team within the division of Business Technology. The role partners with business sponsors, project leads, product owners and organizational teams to maintain the accuracy and reporting of the strategic programs and projects that advance BCLC’s corporate strategy. The role helps translate complex project, resource, and portfolio data into reliable reporting and practical insights for leaders and decision-makers. Additionally, the role supports the tools and systems required to manage and support our Portfolio capability.    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES   Portfolio Reporting and Insights

Build reoccurring portfolio reports and dashboards for the Executive and Senior Leadership teams, the Board of Directors, Project Managers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders. Review project status updates and capacity information for completeness, clarity, consistency, and alignment with portfolio reporting expectations; provide constructive feedback to Project Managers, Project Leads, and Product Owners to improve the quality and reliability of submitted information. Analyze portfolio data to identify themes, risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints; translate findings into clear, fact-based insights for senior leadership consumption.

Resource and Capacity Management Support

Conduct monthly demand & capacity estimation cycles with Product Owners, including communications, escalations, and data validation. Anayze capacity and demand data analysis to identify themes, trends, potential project collisions and provide scenario analysis.

Technical & Platform Work

Conduct moderately complex technical work, including Power BI report development, Power Automate flow design and maintenance, OnePlan/Jira configuration and integration support, and data visualizations. Maintain and support the portfolio tools, dashboards, reports, and data sources used to manage Enterprise Portfolio information.

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

Recommend process efficiencies and improve project and portfolio management methodologies, updating supporting documentation regularly. Bring best practices, lessons learned, emerging technologies, and tools to the broader team to support capability improvements. Leverage generative AI and emerging analytical tools to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of portfolio reporting and analysis, in alignment with BCLC's AI governance and data handling standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

Build relations and coordinate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to collect, validate, and clarify portfolio, project, capacity, and reporting information.

  QUALIFICATIONS   A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE  

A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; 3 to 5 years or relevant portfolio management, project management, data analytics or IT experiences.

  KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS  

Solid knowledge of program/project management methodologies; Strong technical writing skills, and able to write reports and document procedures; Advanced Excel and intermediate Power BI skills. Working knowledge of PPM platforms (e.g., OnePlan, Jira) or equivalent. Strong verbal communication, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Strong time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Solid working knowledge of the tools within the Microsoft M365 ecosystem.

  Preference may be given to individuals who have the following:  

Experience with OnePlan, Jira, Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint. Understanding of Agile and PMI methodologies. Understanding of the B.C. gaming industry. Project or portfolio management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent).

  WORKING CONDITIONS (IF APPLICABLE)  

Hybrid work arrangement; based in Kamloops or Vancouver. Occasional travel between BCLC offices may be required. Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility required during key reporting cycles.   What’s in it for you
