Job Description

Intricate Renewables is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Business Manager to lead the growth and operational performance of our renewables division. Reporting to the Director of New Ventures, you will operate in a "startup-style" environment, balancing high-level strategy with day-to-day execution. You will be the primary driver for converting opportunities into revenue and building the scalable infrastructure needed for long-term success.

Qualifications

  • Renewable Energy Expertise: Strong understanding of project delivery, microgeneration processes, and industry-specific operational execution.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven ability to work independently, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Proven Sales Track Record: Experience managing sales pipelines and successfully converting opportunities into revenue.

  • Leadership & Coordination: Skilled at managing cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, Ops) and external contractors.

  • Communication: Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to present technical solutions to diverse clients.

Additional Information

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Growth: Manage the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation and cold calling to proposal development (with engineering support) and contract award.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee project execution from award to closeout, including supervising field technicians, managing subcontractors, and handling utility/permitting applications.
  • Marketing & Branding: Collaborate with the New Ventures team to execute digital campaigns, develop client-facing content, and enhance market positioning.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring high satisfaction through routine project updates and relationship building.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with Finance and New Ventures leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and developing scalable business processes.

Scope & Impact

You will have a direct impact on the department's P&L, operational efficiency, and market expansion. As the leader of this division, you are responsible for building the foundation that allows Intricate Renewables to scale.
