About the role

The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) projects, with a primary emphasis on Quality Level A (QL-A) investigations. They will be the client interface with all project-related issues and manage the internal activities with the functional groups to ensure that the project is completed on time.

This is a Hybrid opportunity and currently requires working at our Vaughan office one day a week. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of transitioning to permanent, full-time employment upon successful completion of the contract term.

The expected hourly wage for this position is in the range of $31.25 - $36.00 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated wage could vary depending on the profile of the candidate. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Collaborates with and advises a team of several CAD Technicians. Provides coaching on SUE Standards/ best practices, and technical guidance for AutoCAD/ MicroStation workflows. Conducts Quality Check of SUE deliverables Coordinates all aspects of the projects (utility records, schedule, financial, technical, and contractual) Interfaces with clients on all related project updates and requirements Interfaces with third party organizations for permit approvals Prepares/ Quality Checks On1Call and Traffic control plans Follows support documents, schematics, and procedural manuals to ensure adherence to company standards Requests estimates and schedules subcontractors Prepares supporting documentation for invoicing Reviews and evaluates current processes and provides recommendations Follows-up on requests and ensures client requirements are met Performs various data entry and administrative duties when required Prepares/ Quality Checks SUE drawings and technical reports when required, within the standard budgeted time frame and with acceptable quality of work Attends site meetings/ customer meetings Manages on-site SUE activities when required (<5%) Tracks and maintains project schedule and budget Performs other duties as assigned

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: Minimum 3 years of relevant SUE experience (as either a CAD Technician or Project Coordinator) Minimum 5 years of experience working in AutoCAD and MicroStation Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering is an asset Customer focused both internally and externally Attention to details & excellent time management skills Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to work and focus on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with an upbeat attitude Proven organizational and interpersonal abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional standard of accuracy and consistency Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines Able to work as part of a team and independently Ability to make decisions using knowledge and experience Ability to lead technical meetings with customers and internally, and continuously improve efficiency and quality, minimize re-work
