ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Digital Product Management – GOE team owns Franklin Templeton’s patented Goals Optimization Engine, a global B2B2C digital wealth platform grounded in behavioral and mathematical finance research. The team partners with engineering, UX, and business leaders to deliver scalable solutions across retail, advisory, retirement, private wealth, insurance, and direct-to-customer channels. Digital Product Managers operate with high ownership, collaborate deeply across functions, and gain exposure to complex global markets, advanced technology, and end-to-end product lifecycle leadership.

HOW YOU WILL ADD VALUE

Product Ownership & Delivery

  • You will lead delivery of GOE API and UI features.
  • You will translate strategy into clear product requirements, plans and backlogs
  • You will own features from concept through release.
  • You will align stakeholders and ensure delivery quality.
  • You will assess business needs across retirement and wealth channels.
  • You will define solutions and guide development teams.
  • You will measure outcomes and improve products post-launch.
  • You will apply Agile Release Framework practices.

UI Delivery

  • You will own user-facing features globally.
  • You will write clear product requirement documents.
  • You will partner with UX and engineering teams.
  • You will test features and validate outcomes.
  • You will lead technical discussions and decisions.
  • You will use AI tools to improve execution efficiency.

API Operations

  • You will manage API documentation and governance.
  • You will deliver scalable and reliable API solutions.
  • You will test APIs for performance and quality.
  • You will support releases and operational readiness.
  • You will maintain clear platform documentation.

Risk, Controls & Operational Excellence

  • You will manage API Quality Monitor operations.
  • You will resolve production issues proactively.
  • You will uphold governance and control standards.
  • You will report insights using monitoring tools.
  • You will engage with clients to gather datasets, ensure data completeness, and perform data wrangling for analysis and operations

Leadership & Collaboration

  • You will prioritize backlogs aligned to business goals.
  • You will support sprint planning and ceremonies.
  • You will collaborate across product, tech, and business teams.
  • You will drive process improvements using automation and AI.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Experience

  • 4+ years in product or technical product management.
  • Experience supporting digital products across wealth, retirement, or investment platforms in asset management, wealth management, financial services, or fintech environments.
  • Experience with API-based platforms.
  • Experience delivering products in regulated environments.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics, Finance, or related field)

Technical Skills

  • Agile product delivery and backlog management.
  • API documentation and testing expertise.
  • Technical fluency in system and API design.
  • Experience using AI tools for productivity.

Work Schedule & Location

This is a hybrid role based in Calgary.

Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, corporate pension plan, and recognition rewards. We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $76,000 - $100,000 CAD, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
