About the role
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing Red Flame's assigned projects. Ensure the execution of the projects is in accordance with established plans and the defined scope of work. Responsible for the safe, efficient and cost-effective utilization and care of equipment and crews. In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for adhering to all provincial and federal laws, Company policies, internal controls and practices, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and upholding the values of Red Flame Industries.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance and service projects from initiation through completion. Ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and within client specifications, regulatory requirements, and Red Flame standards. The role is responsible for managing project resources, including equipment, personnel, and subcontractors, while maintaining effective client relationships and communication. In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for adhering to all provincial and federal laws, Company policy, internal controls and practices, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and upholding the values of Red Flame Industries.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate all phases of assigned projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management to ensure successful project delivery.
Working with internal leadership to ensure effective and appropriate use of resources, develop project plans, assign responsibilities, determine resources, create schedules to ensure project completion within set timelines, and oversee progress against the plan.
Coordinate with operations management on the scheduling and deployment of resources.
Establish guidelines and supervise to ensure that the work of field crews and subcontractors is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
Monitor and control projects for time, quality and cost, and recommend corrective actions to maintain these performance metrics and profitability.
Create a reporting structure to keep internal and external stakeholders informed of progress.
Provide training support where appropriate.
Follows a standard project management and execution approach for the overall administration of projects.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Project Manager reports directly to the Vice President, Canada, Specialty Services, or delegates as determined by the Vice President, Canada, Specialty Services.
AUTHORITY
The Project Manager has the authority to organize, coordinate and manage all areas of their assigned area responsibility, as per the instructions provided by the Vice President, Canada, Specialty Services or delegate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining and updating project documentation and system/documentation libraries.
Collecting material, logging documents and distributing deliverables to appropriate staff.
Racking project change requests as they relate to the major deliverables.
Maintaining and updating relevant project information in manual and/or electronic files.
Assisting in the organization of the preparation of presentation materials for internal or external use.
Communicate with clients regarding the delivery of services and completion.
Oversee project quality, both in delivery and documentation, that meets the RFI Quality Management System
Ensure all staff are qualified and trained to deliver services and meet the technical and safety requirements of field projects.
Identify and participate in the training and development of direct reports and in the Department.
Manage the continuous improvement processes with field projects to identify operational improvement for clients and RFI.
Provide clear performance expectations to personnel and reinforce correct behavior through recognition and encouragement, as well as application of corrective measures and procedures.
Complete the performance management process for direct reports and ensure direct reports.
Manage employee relations and performance issues with organizational leadership and human resources.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, coordination or similar roles
Post-secondary education in business administration, engineering, project management or equivalent work experience
10 years of experience within the oil and gas industry, along with field experience
The internal training for this position will be identified within the Red Flame Industries Training Matrix
MEASUREMENT OF PERFORMANCE
The Project Manager will be deemed to be performing proficiently when the following have been met or exceeded:
Discharging responsibilities described in General Accountability, Authority and Responsibilities to the satisfaction of the Vice President, Canada, Specialty Services or delegate.
Demonstrating successful project completions with exceptional safety results, meeting or exceeding profit margin and quality measures as determined by the Vice President, Canada, Specialty Services or delegate.
Other key measures that may be assigned from time to time by the Vice President, Canada, Specialty Services or delegate.
