The Office of Strategy Management (OSM) is evolving to play a critical role as an internal consultancy helping Southlake Health transform into a Distributed Health Network through its Strategy for the Decade Ahead. We are recruiting a Manager, Strategy to lead a team of Strategic Business Partners and advance Southlake Health’s strategic initiatives through enterprise and corporate project delivery, advisory services and organizational transformation. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer and Director, Public Affairs, the Manager, Strategy serves as a trusted partner to leaders across the organization, helping translate priorities into action through disciplined project execution, evidence-informed decision-making, organizational problem-solving, and effective change leadership. This role provides oversight of Southlake’s strategic initiative portfolio, supports executive and Board decision-making, and builds organizational capacity. Working closely with senior leaders, physicians, clinical teams, operational leaders, and external partners, you will help align priorities, navigate complexity, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure strategic initiatives achieve meaningful outcomes for patients, families, staff and communities. What you’ll do Lead Southlake’s Office of Strategy Management and provide leadership to a team of Strategic Business Partners responsible for advancing enterprise priorities through project management, policy advisory, critical thinking, and change management. Oversee the planning, prioritization and execution of strategic and corporate initiatives that support Southlake’s Strategy for the Decade Ahead and transformation into a Distributed Health Network. Establish and maintain effective governance, project management methodologies, risk management practices and accountability frameworks to ensure complex, cross-functional initiatives are delivered successfully. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, physician leaders and project teams by providing strategic analysis, recommendations, business cases, briefing materials and evidence-based guidance to support informed decision-making. Apply systems thinking, environmental scanning and critical analysis to identify organizational challenges, emerging opportunities and innovative solutions that improve performance, patient experience and health outcomes. Conduct environmental scans and assess emerging health system, public policy and life sciences developments to identify opportunities, risks and implications for Southlake’s strategic priorities and long-term direction. Lead the development of executive and Board-level reports, presentations and strategic materials that clearly communicate progress, risks, dependencies and recommendations. Foster alignment across departments by bringing together people, resources and capabilities to advance strategic priorities and remove barriers to execution. Strengthen organizational project management, strategic planning and change management capabilities through coaching, tools, templates, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Support the development and evolution of Southlake’s performance management and strategic reporting processes to ensure leaders have timely information to guide decision-making and monitor organizational performance. Lead or support special projects, strategic initiatives and emerging priorities as assigned by senior leadership What we’re looking for Successful completion of an Undergraduate degree in health sciences, business, public administration, engineering or related field from an accredited educational institution; advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of five (5) to (7) years of experience leading strategy, major projects or transformation initiatives — ideally in health care consulting or complex public-sector organizations. Demonstrated success managing cross-functional, hospital-wide initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders. Strong performance measurement and reporting experience; skilled at translating data into actionable insights. Solid change management, process improvement and project governance experience (PMP, LEAN or equivalent a plus). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and storytelling. Proven ability to lead with empathy, build inclusive teams and engage diverse stakeholders. Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable prioritizing multiple, competing initiatives.
