About the role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Brand Marketing Specialist to join a leading retail organization on a 12-month contract. This contractor will work hybrid on-site 3-days per week, and this role offers the opportunity to work closely with marketing, merchandising, digital, loyalty, operations, and agency partners to deliver impactful, customer-focused marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing brand strategies to life through the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing initiatives that support business growth and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with brand and business objectives. Collaborate with marketing leadership on campaign planning, brief development, creative reviews, and execution. Manage campaign timelines, project trackers, marketing calendars, and key deliverables. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, operations, digital marketing, loyalty, creative services, analytics, and external agencies. Support paid media activations and ensure marketing assets are delivered on schedule. Assist with vendor-funded marketing programs, partnerships, and sponsorship initiatives. Track project budgets, approvals, creative proofs, and campaign milestones. Work with analytics and customer insights teams to measure campaign effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities. Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across marketing materials and activations. Prepare updates and reports for internal stakeholders and leadership teams. Identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage best practices across marketing initiatives.
Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Communications, or a related discipline. 3+ years of experience in brand marketing, retail marketing, advertising, merchandising, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a related field. Experience supporting and executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Bilingual English/French is considered an asset. MBA or other advanced business education is considered an asset.
