The Opportunity As a key leader in our firm, you will oversee multiple active projects through design, complex approvals, and construction. You will report to the Principal and Associates and help mentor and lead a talented team of designers and co-op students. · Role: Permanent, Full-time · Compensation: $80k – $95k /yr, plus profit sharing, OAA fees, health benefits, RRSP, 4 weeks vacation · Location: Downtown Toronto (Office-based 4 days per week + flexible Fridays)
What You’ll Do · Drive Innovation: Manage and design small to medium-scale residential projects that challenge traditional zoning. · Lead Teams: Coordinate consultants, manage clients, and mentor staff in a highly collaborative environment. · Shape the Firm: Contribute to and develop our internal office infrastructure and production standards. · Navigate Approvals: Utilize your deep knowledge of Toronto’s zoning bylaws to secure minor variance and housing approvals.
Your Qualifications We are seeking an OAA Licensed Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Toronto residential sector. Our ideal candidate is a champion of sustainable building practices and wood-frame construction. · Technical Mastery: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Suite, and MS Office. · Code Expertise: Strong working knowledge of OBC Parts 3 and 9. · Leadership: Exceptional communication, organization, and teamwork skills. · Bonus Points: LEED or Passive House accreditation, and specific experience with laneway/garden suites or multiplexes.
