About the role
As our Communications Team Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind a dynamic team of Content Writers and Translators—bringing ideas to life and ensuring every message hits the mark. In this role, you’ll lead from the front: coaching a team, sparking creativity, and fostering a collaborative environment where great content thrives. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams, turning business goals into compelling stories that resonate across all marketing channels.
You’ll ensure everything we publish is clear, consistent, and on-brand, maintaining a strong, unified voice while keeping quality high and details sharp. From hands-on content development to final polish and quality control, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we show up in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team’s day-to-day work while staying hands-on with writing, editing, and content creation.
- Plan and manage content projects to keep everything on track and on time.
- Ensure all content is clear, accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Maintain a strong, consistent voice across all communications.
- Review and improve product and marketing content to meet quality standards.
- Provide guidance on writing, editing, and translation best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align priorities and deliver content efficiently.
- Support communication planning for key initiatives.
- Create and maintain processes, workflows, and style guidelines.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members’ growth and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or professional program degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3-5 years experience in a related field.
- Experience in content creation, writing, editing, or communications.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, or supervise a team.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to create clear, engaging content and adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Experience reviewing and improving content, including complex or sensitive topics.
- Creative thinker who brings new ideas and looks for ways to improve content and processes.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- High level of accountability and ownership of work.
- Familiarity with content management systems and basic database concepts.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team’s development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Bilingual (French and English*), spoken and written. (*) This qualification is required as you will be interacting with partners, vendors, internal/external clients and/or staff across Canada on a regular basis.
