What you'll do:
The Director of Operational Excellence is responsible for defining, structuring, and leading our OpEx strategy. This person ensures the standardization, continuity, consistency and performance of the program throughout our manufacturing network. The role combines strategic vision, program leadership, field deployment, performance analytics and change management.
In this role, you will support the following key components:
Definition of the OpEx strategy: Define and continuously evolve the OpEx strategy in alignment with the priorities of the operations, into a clear and measurable roadmap with defined targets, performance indicators and improvement levers. Act as a strategic advisor on long-term direction and priorities.
Program Leadership and Governance: Ensure the day-to-day execution of the OpEx program by ensuring strong governance, cross-functional coordination, and structured resolution of key operational issues. Drive alignment and sustainability across all OpEx pillars, including performance culture, reliability, quality, health and safety, and supply chain.
Performance, Data and Analytics: Implement an integrated approach to performance management, including KPIs, dashboards and analytics, to ensure a single source of truth across the board. Oversee end-to-end outcome monitoring and develop tools to assess impact, measure value creation, and support data-driven decision-making.
Manufacturing Network Alignment: Mobilize and align plant leaders around a shared vision for OpEx by identifying maturity gaps, prioritizing interventions, and supporting turnaround efforts. Foster cross-functional alignment and actively promote the sharing of best practices across the manufacturing network.
Capacity Development and Change Management: Leads capacity development through structured training, onboarding, and talent development to support a culture of continuous improvement. Act as a primary agent of change by guiding teams through complex transformations and developing long-term organizational capabilities.
Digital tools and data: Drive the deployment and optimization of digital tools, such as dashboards, while ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of our OpEx data.
What you'll bring:
- University degree in engineering, business or related field. An MBA and a Lean Six Sigma certification are important assets.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the tissue, pulp or paper sectors
- Experience in a leadership role in operational excellence, continuous improvement or operational transformation
- Demonstrated ability to structure and lead complex multi-site programs
- Strong analytical skills, focused on creating measurable value
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
