Position Summary
At Summa, our operations run smoothly thanks to organized, resourceful people who are always ready to lend a hand. We’re looking for a versatile individual who will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day activities between the shop, yard, deliveries, and office.
This is primarily a hands-on role (approximately 80%), with an administrative component (20%) focused on logistics and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate deliveries and oversee the logistics of outgoing shipments. Maintain the organization and efficient operation of the yard. Safely prepare, load, and unload materials. Ensure proper storage, identification, and organization of parts and materials. Work closely with the production team to plan and coordinate shipments. Perform administrative tasks related to operations, including order tracking and purchasing support. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Provide day-to-day operational support and help ensure the smooth running of shop activities.
What We’re Looking For
Organized, self-motivated, and proactive. Strong ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working both on the shop floor and at a computer. Team player with a strong sense of responsibility. Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or a shop environment is an asset. Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes, or a willingness to learn.
