We are seeking a hands-on, technically skilled, and highly organized Maintenance Manager to lead the care and operation of the property.

The Role

The position is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in daily repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency response.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, hot tub, and general building systems.
  • Complete regular property walkthroughs and resolve issues before they affect guests or operations.
  • Maintain organized preventive maintenance schedules, inspection records, manuals, and equipment logs.
  • Plan and complete maintenance and capital projects within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate contractors, quotes, inspections, installations, warranty work, and specialized repairs.
  • Build productive relationships with strata representatives, commercial tenants, ownership, and vendors.
  • Lead, schedule, train, and support a small maintenance team.
  • Establish strong standards for workmanship, organization, safety, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
  • Manage departmental tools, inventory, supplies, budgets, and capital planning.
  • Maintain compliance with WorkSafeBC, public health requirements, building codes, and hotel safety procedures.

What You Bring

  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in hotel, resort, strata, commercial, or multi-unit residential maintenance.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, hot tubs, and general repairs.
  • Proven ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in daily maintenance work.
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to build the same standards within the team.
  • Recognized trade certification is a strong asset.
  • Pool Operator certification, or willingness to obtain it, is an asset.
  • Valid drivers licence.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Currently living in Whistler or the Sea-to-Sky corridor, or with confirmed plans to relocate.
  • Available to respond to urgent maintenance issues when required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000-$85,000, based on experience, technical qualifications, and leadership capability.
  • Performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary.
  • $2,600 annual seasonal recognition bonus.
  • Extended medical, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability benefits after six months.
  • Travel allowance or vehicle stipend.
