About the role

Project Manager – Municipal Infrastructure (Water, Wastewater, Bridges, etc.) The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and financial performance of projects from inception to completion. Working closely with the Superintendent and project team, the Project Manager will lead and manage all aspects of assigned municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities: Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to ensure successful delivery Manage project financials including cost control, forecasting, and progress billing Oversee project documentation including meeting minutes, change orders, site instructions, RFIs, shop drawings, drawing logs, and progress claims Ensure compliance with all project specifications, contracts, and regulatory requirements Establish and maintain project reporting systems, including cost reports, status updates, and document control procedures Maintain accurate logs (RFI, subcontracts, purchase orders, owner instructions, etc.) and ensure timely follow-up Lead and facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders Collaborate closely with the Superintendent to coordinate field operations and resolve site issues Manage subcontractor procurement, scope, and performance Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental requirements, and sustainability initiatives (e.g. LEED, waste management, erosion and sediment control) Review construction drawings and specifications for compliance and constructability Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role with a general contractor Technical diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (CET, P.Eng. considered an asset) Experience in municipal infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, bridges, etc.) is strongly preferred Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam Revu or similar tools Solid understanding of construction methods, trades, and safety practices Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal construction regulations and compliance requirements Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders Willingness to travel to project sites as required
