Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, IT PMO, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional IT and digital initiatives across Scarborough Health Network (SHN).

As a key delivery lead within the IT PMO, this role drives the successful planning, execution, and implementation of projects that support clinical transformation, operational excellence, and enterprise digital strategy. The Senior Project Manager ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with SHN governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT, digital health, and AI enabled initiatives across clinical and corporate programs Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations Ensure projects adhere to PMBOK®-aligned methodologies and SDLC standards Establish and develop account management relationship with corporate programs, departments, and units to ensure all IT related projects are captured and supported Monitor and report on project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies Partner with Digital Health, Enterprise Analytics, and operational teams to align delivery with organizational priorities Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure successful solution implementation Ensure alignment with SHN IT governance processes, including CPRC, ASRB, and CAB where applicable Lead risk identification, mitigation, and escalation in accordance with PMO standards Ensure projects comply with privacy (PHIPA), cybersecurity, procurement, and regulatory requirements Support intake, prioritization, and sequencing of initiatives within the IT project portfolio Contribute to enterprise capacity planning and resource management activities Ensure alignment of project outcomes with SHN strategic priorities and digital roadmap Drive consistent application of standardized PMO tools, templates, and reporting practices Ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, and operational readiness expectations Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Health, Business, Information Technology, or related field (required) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (required) Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in IT or digital project management Demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in a healthcare environment Strong knowledge of project management frameworks (PMBOK®, Agile, SDLC) Experience working with clinical systems (e.g., EMR/Epic), enterprise platforms, or digital transformation initiatives considered an asset Experience in a Canadian healthcare organization with strong understanding of clinical and operational environments. Strong track record of ethical leadership, professionalism, and organizational stewardship Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage multidisciplinary teams, clinicians, and stakeholders. Excellent work performance and attendance record Understands the importance of and demonstrates commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Commitment to advancing equity, accessibility, and patient-centered care through digital innovation. Demonstrated ability to model integrity, resilience, and adaptability in a rapidly evolving digital health environment.
