Your future role on our team
You’ll report to the Director, Construction, and be responsible for establishing and managing construction management controls, tools and procedures. You’ll need to work closely with our engineering teams to guide the design and ensure it is systematically considered for constructability. You’ll also coordinate the administration of contracts and the application of the quality assurance program, where necessary. You’ll ensure that work relationships remain harmonious and that health and safety rules are applied on the sites where you’ll be required to work, both remotely and on client sites. You may also be asked to help with pre-operational verifications and commissioning activities.

Work on establishing the firm’s strategy for construction and constructability management, in conjunction with your group’s Operations and Project Execution managers.

Actively participate in deploying the corporate constructability strategy.

Be involved in engineering projects and studies to provide a construction perspective when projects initially begin and throughout the design and procurement process.

Formally implement and lead constructability reviews within our project teams.

Revise construction management processes and procedures and ensure they’re applied.

Prepare construction management plans and strategies and ensure they’re applied.

Make sure construction management objectives are clearly defined and promote the provincial and, eventually, the national strategy.

Make sure work relationships on site are maintained and facilitated based on the various roles that can be played by the BBA teams.

Delegate and monitor site administration.

Develop the construction and project execution strategy for preliminary studies.

Establish and maintain a positive climate for ethical and professional practices in business relationships with suppliers and contractors. Serve as a coach to work team members.

Profile and essential skills
- Asset : Degree in engineering or administration
- At least 5 years of relevant site experience
- Work experience with engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) projects
- Proficient with the MS Office Suite (Outlook, MS Project, Excel)
- Available for occasional work at client sites during project execution
- Asset: bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
- Asset: experience with turn-key projects (EPC)
