As we continue to grow our industrial practice, we are seeking an experienced leader to take ownership of this side of the business.
Position summary
The Industrial Project Manager is the senior industrial role within the company, responsible for industrial work from initial site assessment through to a fully developed, quoted scope, and serving as the primary technical lead for our industrial clients and field crews. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position owns industrial estimating and provides technical leadership to the industrial electricians and lead hands assigned to its projects. The role is well suited to an experienced licensed electrician who is confident in plant environments, fluent in industrial controls and equipment, and effective as the trusted technical contact when clients require a clear and reliable assessment.
Key responsibilities Conduct site assessments and develop scopes of work for industrial projects, including service upgrades, switchboard installations, plant expansions, and equipment installations Respond to troubleshooting calls at client facilities, diagnosing faults, reviewing sequence of operations, and restoring systems to service Manage client relationships on industrial work, from initial contact through technical discussion to final quotation Prepare accurate industrial estimates with clear scope definition and appropriate protective language Coordinate with engineers and the local utility on service, metering, power quality, and study requirements Transition awarded projects to the delivery team and remain available as the technical authority throughout execution
Qualifications A 309A Construction and Maintenance license, supported by substantial industrial experience (Red Seal endorsement an asset) 5+ years of field experience Demonstrated depth in industrial controls and troubleshooting, including motor controls, soft starters, variable frequency drives, and programmable logic controllers, with the ability to reason methodically through live faults Demonstrated leadership skills Proven experience scoping and estimating industrial electrical work Strong client-facing communication skills and the composure to lead during facility downtime A valid Ontario driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the GTA
