About the Role
The MarTech Architect sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and technical execution, designing how customer data, automation, and personalization flow across our clients' ecosystems. You'll architect end-to-end MarTech stacks that align Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or comparable platforms) with CRM, CDP/Data Cloud, commerce, and web properties to deliver unified, measurable customer experiences.
This is a client-facing role for someone who is equal parts technologist, marketer, and consultant. You'll partner with TechBlocks' digital strategy, data, and engineering teams, as well as client marketing leaders, to translate business goals into pragmatic, scalable solutions across nurture programs, lifecycle journeys, segmentation, reporting, and analytics. You'll listen, document needs, design the solution, articulate milestones, and lead delivery through to launch and optimization.
What You'll Do
- Design the integration architecture across CRM, Marketing Cloud, CDP/Data Cloud, web, and analytics platforms to enable seamless customer journeys.
- Define audience segmentation, data activation, and campaign automation strategies in partnership with client marketing and data teams.
- Lead the implementation and program execution of marketing automation, CRM, and ancillary platforms including deployment, integration, and admin-level consulting.
- Build advanced lead scoring, lifecycle, and trigger-based program frameworks that align journeys, triggers, and KPIs.
- Establish governance for marketing data models, consent management, API usage, and data hygiene.
- Develop revenue-focused reports and actionable insights that account strategists and client marketers can use to advance their programs.
- Recommend and implement MarTech stack enhancements aligned with client growth, including ABM, preference centers, microsites, event management, and marketing/sales/service data integration.
- Translate client goals into work breakdown structures with clear milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
- Prototype and troubleshoot a wide range of issues: deliverability, duplicate record management, third-party integration syncs, responsive design, and accessibility across MarTech assets.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in marketing technology architecture, marketing operations, or CRM integration.
- Hands-on expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Marketo, plus solid Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud / Account Engagement) experience.
- Strong understanding of first-party data strategy, CDP concepts, identity resolution, and API integrations.
- Proven ability to translate marketing goals into technical automation frameworks and scalable architectures.
- Experience leading client-facing engagements, defining outcomes, managing expectations, and delivering on time across cross-functional teams.
- Solid grounding in demand generation, lifecycle marketing, marketing analytics, and data hygiene.
- Exceptional oral and written communication, including the ability to discuss technical concepts with non-technical executives.
- Analytical mindset, with fanatical attention to detail and a quick-learner orientation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Journey Builder, and Marketing Cloud Personalization.
- Familiarity with attribution modeling and marketing analytics platforms (GA4, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot, or Adobe Experience Cloud.
- Understanding of privacy and consent frameworks: GDPR, CASL, CCPA.
- Experience in retail, financial services or energy and utilities verticals.
- Salesforce, Marketo, or equivalent platform certifications.
