About the role

Summary Of The Role

Mammoet is currently seeking a temporary Site Manager for our Kearl Lake site while travelling occasionally to our Fort McKay, Alberta location. In this role, the Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing awarded turnaround projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning through completion. This includes daily coordination with the client, providing clear updates on project progress, and aligning closely with local management teams. The Site Manager will play a key role in driving safe and efficient operations by maintaining a strong understanding of site activities, proactively addressing challenges, and ensuring all project objectives are met on time and to standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner Reviews requirements and work of awarded projects and develops execution plan for the project. Acts as the single point of contact between Mammoet and the client. Responsible for the successful execution of the project in accordance with how the project was sold Monitors and controls project schedule. Ensures project invoicing is timely, accurate and in accordance with contract invoicing guidelines Ensures project has required personnel, with appropriate experience and/or training for the required tasks Ensures and assumes responsibility for the safe execution of the project as outlined in the Mammoet SHE Q Manual and as per client requirements. Delegates and coordinates all onsite activities to meet set goals for the project Creates and monitors the project budget throughout the execution of the project. Monitors and controls any Contract Change Notices for extra work, omissions to the contract, and any other potential changes to the contract and ensures Mammoet is receiving fair treatment with regards to changes All activities include all facets of Mammoet activity on site as Mammoet makes no distinction between internal divisions, branches, unions, contracts or other on the project and it is strived to portray a single Mammoet unit with regards to support positions on the project. Review all timesheets for accuracy in regards to hours worked, equipment assignments (if applicable) and compliance to applicable union/contract agreement. Once deemed accurate, sign off and forward for further processing. Review all Daily LEMs to ensure all billable hours for personnel and equipment are correctly reflected in accordance with the contract. Once deemed correct, forward for further processing.

What You’ll Need

Job Qualifications

Project Management courses are an asset. Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office (Excel) and SAP. CSTS. Valid Driver’s License.

Experience

5+ years of progressive experience in field operations and/or project management within a related industry Strong understanding of the crane and transport sector Demonstrated experience leading teams of 15+ employees Solid communication and stakeholder management skills 5+ years of commercial and/or contract management experience Hands-on experience with logistics and invoicing systems (e.g., SharePoint, Axapta, CRM platforms)
