Circle YYC is a growing Calgary-based real estate development company focused on delivering high-quality multifamily communities throughout the city's inner neighbourhoods. We are expanding rapidly and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help lead our growing portfolio of residential developments. This is not a traditional construction management role. You'll work alongside ownership, operations, consultants, and site supervisors to manage projects from early planning through construction completion, helping create systems that allow the company to scale. If you enjoy solving complex problems, coordinating multiple stakeholders, improving processes, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Be Responsible For Manage multiple residential development projects simultaneously. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and milestone tracking. Coordinate consultants including architects, engineers, surveyors, designers, and municipal reviewers. Manage permitting, approvals, inspections, and regulatory requirements. Work closely with Site Supervisors to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Monitor project budgets, change orders, and cost reporting. Coordinate procurement, material lead times, and critical project logistics. Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Lead regular project meetings with internal teams and external consultants. Maintain project documentation and reporting for ownership. Help develop internal systems and operational processes as the company continues to grow. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, identifying and resolving construction issues, managing change orders, and controlling costs to keep projects on budget. The Construction Project Manager also prepares progress reports, collaborates with internal investment and development teams, and maintains clear communication with clients, consultants, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications We're looking for someone who combines strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to leadership. Preferred Experience 2+ years of Project Management experience Residential construction or real estate development experience Experience managing multiple concurrent projects Experience coordinating consultants, permitting, scheduling, and project budgets Experience working on inner-city multifamily wood-frame residential developments is considered a strong asset Experience with townhomes, fourplexes, row housing, or small to mid-rise multifamily projects is preferred Strong scheduling and coordination experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities Preferred Education We strongly value candidates with formal project management education such as: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Project Management Supply Chain or Operations Management Additional certifications are considered an asset: PMP (Project Management Professional) CAPM Other project management certifications
