About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Consultant to oversee, manage, and coordinate a variety of business initiatives to identify, document, analyze and provide solutions related to complex processing, service, and technical improvement opportunities.

The ideal candidate will also support the enablement and adoption of digital, AI, and automation initiatives, ensuring teams are equipped with the tools, processes, and understanding required to successfully implement new ways of working and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

Individual Accountabilities:

  • Work with senior management to define and manage the scope, strategy, and requirements of business initiatives with specific emphasis on creating integrated strategic solutions.
  • Oversee, manage, and coordinate multiple business initiatives to ensure successful execution and delivery of key projects.
  • Identify and document complex operational business issues and facilitate development of creative solutions involving workflow procedures and/or new technologies that are consistent with business long-term strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions to address challenges and opportunities.
  • Support the enablement and adoption of new technologies, including AI and automation, by helping teams understand impacts, workflows, and expected outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Own the development of business cases including all costs/benefits.
  • Consult on new ideas to determine viability to move forward.
  • Ensure business casing will have impact on established KPIs.
  • Assist in translating strategic priorities into clear initiatives with measurable outcomes and tracked benefits realization.

Shared Responsibilities:

  • Represent and advocate for business unit in major division or corporate initiatives ensuring business unit needs are appropriately addressed.
  • Provide effective communication with business unit management as well as business partners across the business unit including IT, Product Development, Project Office, and the Sales teams.
  • Shares best practices with other team members, ensuring consistency across BUs and channels.
  • Shares information on projects with other team members to ensure interdependencies are identified and addressed.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across Operations, IT, and Delivery teams to enable alignment and drive successful implementation of initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading complex business initiatives, including process improvement, technology implementations, and new product development.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated track record of identifying and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and challenge the status quo while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to align business initiatives with organizational long-term goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends related to business process improvement and new product development.
  • Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field, preferred.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to build team consensus utilizing strong conflict management skills.
  • Ability to translate issues and problems into effective business solutions.
  • Exposure to or experience supporting digital transformation, AI, or automation initiatives is an asset.
  • Understanding of change impacts on processes, roles, and employee adoption, with the ability to support transition to new ways of working.

Salary range is expected to be between

$88,800.00 CAD - $138,800.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
