Position Summary:

Are you a creative visionary with a passion for building brands that stand out? Do you thrive at the intersection of strategy and design, combining big-picture thinking with hands-on execution? Do you have a proven track record of leveraging emerging technologies to simplify and expedite the creative process while maintaining a strong brand identity? If so, we want you to join our team as a Creative Director!

In this pivotal role, you’ll be more than a designer—you’ll be a brand innovator, marrying creative vision with cutting-edge tools to elevate Kindsight’s brand presence. You’ll lead the charge in finding new ways to leverage AI and emerging technologies to help us scale quickly, empower employees, and activate our brand in meaningful ways. This role is about architecting the future of scalable brand identity at Kindsight—helping employees become stewards of our brand while ensuring consistency and innovation across all touchpoints.

This is your chance to shape the future of design innovation and brand leadership at Kindsight, make a lasting impact on a growing brand, and work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead creative strategy: Define and drive the creative vision for our brand, ensuring it aligns with business goals and market trends. Own the look and feel of tertiary design languages, including KindCon, the Kindsight community, and our research initiatives, ensuring they reflect and enhance our overarching brand identity.
  • Balance execution and resources at scale: Know when to take the lead on design execution, when to delegate to freelancers, and when to leverage AI to optimize workflows and scale production.
  • Leverage emerging technologies: Stay ahead of design trends and tools, adopting the best new approaches to simplify workflows, generate concepts, and optimize asset production. Find ways to empower employees to use these tools effectively, fostering a culture of creativity and self-sufficiency.
  • Design execution: Create high-quality designs across various platforms, from digital ads and print assets to social collateral and keynote presentations, setting the standard for excellence.
  • Brand ownership: Oversee our visual identity, ensuring consistency and memorable experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Project management: Handle design asks/briefs as they come in and manage design projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines and staying within budget. In the case of printed materials, this includes the production/pre-press process and preparing files for print.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with marketing, product, and executive teams to align creative efforts with company objectives.
  • Employee enablement: Develop resources, tools, and processes that enable employees to become stewards of our brand, ensuring they can leverage approved AI tools to independently create on-brand materials with confidence.
  • Manage external designers: Provide direction and feedback to external creative resources, ensuring their work meets brand standards.
  • Present and communicate: Share creative concepts and updates with internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and elevate designs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven ability to marry creative vision with technology, finding innovative ways to expedite and simplify the design process while maintaining a strong brand identity.
  • 7+ years of experience in graphic design, with a preference for candidates who have worked in B2B SaaS environments, and at least 3 years in a leadership or creative strategy role.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to enhance workflows, generate concepts, and optimize asset production (e.g., generative design tools, AI-assisted video editing), but also empower company-wide enablement of approved AI tools (e.g. Claude design templates).
  • Advanced knowledge of design principles including typography, composition, color palettes, imagery, and illustration, plus demonstrable knowledge of accessibility design.
  • Mastery in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Canva, and other design tools, including pre-press preparation. Proficiency or willingness to learn Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other motion design tools. Mastery in designing keynote-level decks in Google Slides and PowerPoint is a must.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise across various marketing formats—including digital (web, web ads, social), GTM campaigns, ebooks, keynote presentations, and print materials.
  • Ability to think past the first idea and explore multiple pathways, creating unique and ownable creative campaigns that reach across all mediums and formats.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Asana experience is a plus.
